We could still see him for an inning or so, instead of his normal bullpen.

I feel great about tonight. I spent Saturday night on the edge of my seat, agonizing over every pitch. I didn't enjoy the game at all -- just one big knot in my stomach, with a massive exhale at the end. Last night started off the same, giving way to despair at about 4-0 or 6-0.

Not tonight. I have given myself an attitude adjustment. I am simply thankful for the program, players and coach we have, and am resolved to enjoy watching our guys do their best, and am confident that their best will be very, very good tonight.

I predict tonight will be a great night in the annals of Rice baseball.
