I hope this lets people see that Miami isn't one of those BCS teams. You know who I'm talking about, the ones like Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, Ohio State that never play away games. Respecting mid-level opponents is the key to success, and our coach Al Golden is a master of program building and AD Blake James is top-class. I'm excited to see USM play at Sun Life Stadium. It will be a great series not only for your fans but for ours as well, and a trip to see a place many have never been.

This gets me worked up because this is something Nick Saban of Alabama has hit us on. We will play anyone, anywhere. That's the mentality at Miami and that's what makes a national power. People will complain that Miami is playing "lower" teams, but when a team like Miami plays "lower" teams they will win most of those games and that will boost the program. I like what they're doing in the Athletic Department here, even though some will think it stupid. I'm so excited to see some real matchups not just unnamed BCS team from SEC vs unnamed BCS team from Big 12 that it's always like.

Auburn's another "cartel" school that does very little, if any, traveling beyond the Mason-Dixon line to play someone that can look them in the eye and give as well as they get.

As much as I've detested "The U" over the years, one thing I had to give them credit for, their schedule in their hey day indicated year in and year out, they were ready to take on all comers.

Maybe they're trying to get back to that.

I can sort of understand some of this. Any time they play a non-conference road game, you are asking them to give up a $7-8 million pay day in ticket and associated revenue.

Plus, how many recruits/fans would an Auburn have north of the line? I assume not many.

My brother played down there, and it is a different culture. The old wargles are still traumatized from the days when bammer, Tennessee and Georgia would not play them in Auburn. They cling to home games like the bullied little kid hanging onto his candy.
