OT: Where is Tallgrass?
This says that he last visited nearly two months ago: http://csnbbs.com/member.php?action=profile&uid=4118

I agreed with him basically never, but I hope he's doing OK. I know he lost his wife a while back.

Tulsa joined the Big East (AAC) and he is pissed. He kept saying it would never happen.

His only goal was to destroy the AAC. That didn't happen. I wonder what his new project is?

Ah, forget it. I don't want to know.

Let me guess: he thinks the Mountain is vastly superior to the American, and urges Tulsa to join that conference.

The next "wall" is the stipend...you're looking @ the P5 plus the AAC/MWC and maybe a couple of Basketball Leagues moving away from the MAC, Sunbelt etc..etc.

A couple? Would the new A10 be able to afford the stipend? If the stipend is a wedge, its not clear any BBall league other than the New Big East could hope to make the bridge.

And if they do it as a new division within the NCAA, not clear that they'd have to. The compromise which would let the NCAA keep its BBall tournament would be to have no distinct BBall tournament for the "1-AA" division, in which case under the standing rules, teams would be permitted to play up in the next larger division championship.
