So much fail in one post. Firstly, I was agreeing with you. That's why I posted the photo that doesn't have a legit shape of NC. Secondly, I was referring to that little part you referred to in Virginia we call the Eastern Shore. Lastly, do you really think someone living in Norfolk wouldn't know the difference between the Outer Banks and the Eastern Shore?

In 2010 they did change it look like how the state actually looks, but it was too close to our logo, which had already been registered. Even though UNC had used the shape of the state for year (yes, inaccurately) they had never registered it as logo. We beat them to the punch. So they changed it to a basic out line.

I haven't once complained about the new announcement (because I assume it's a done deal) but this one from Oldtimer is SOLID. I think it brands the university very well.

Perhaps if Blaine had that one, he wouldn't have had to have Old Dominion Monarchs all printed on the front of the jerseys a few years back.

I liked the second one better but the lion has to be moved a little to the left as it's not balanced. Maybe place him in the left side with him leaning on the state like saying, "this is my state". Put the whole lion on the left and leaning on it with his legs crossed "hoodlum like".

This was really my only complaint with my floor design. If I simply flip the lion horizontally and switch his arm and head, it'll be much more balanced.

Yes, but pissing is universal. Unless you're USM or ECU, you're not pissing your colors. If you are, I recommend that you seek immediate medical attention.
