All I know of Akron's schedule is that we're going to be in the Diamond Head Classic.

So far Ball State has Butler, SEMO, and Valparaiso at home and Indiana State, Southern Illinois, and Cleveland State on the road.

Add Cleveland State to that

Cleveland State's schedule next year: at Drexel, at Ohio State, Western Illinois, at Kent State, Akron, Ball State, and at Toledo.

I am hoping with a newer AD and new coach, BSU will continue to improve it's OOC schedule. Their schedule under Taylor was continually in the 300's. This is better.

If you go and look at Temple's past MAC basketball schedules it was pretty random. I'm not sure UMass will be playing the same 4 MAC teams as last year. Temple didn't.

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketba...emple-owls

They also played 5 MAC teams in the 2009-2010, 2010-2011, and 2011-2012 seasons, but I do not know why. They must have volunteered to play the 5th team on their own because they weren't required to.

Temple vs the MAC:

2006 - 2-2
2007 - 3-1
2008 - 2-2
2009 - 5-0
2010 - 5-0
2011 - 4-1

2006,2007,2008 were rough seasons for Temple vs the MAC and they still made the NCAA tournament 2 of the 3 seasons despite only going 7-6 vs the MAC.

UMass fans are paranoid about the potential MAC schedule and if it hurts their NCAA Tourney chances. They "want" good MAC teams on their schedule for RPI reasons but act like there is no chance that playing "good" MAC teams may actually bite them and actually keep them from winning.

NO, it's pro Basketball group of fans, which some are actually anti-football.

i've heard that from a couple of people on this board but haven't seen anything confirmed about it yet. maybe it's too early for me to be seeing that.
