RE: A&M/USC and MU/Ark now official
The final week of the year, I can imagine was an obstacle. Going forward, I would not be surprised if the conference switches Arkansas/LSU to Arkansas/Missouri and Texas A&M/LSU. I'm sure Arkansas won't like that, but it's a choice of either that or both Texas A&M and Missouri having non-conference games in the final week of the year in years they don't play each other (most years). Since I don't see Kansas and Texas agreeing to yearly games again anytime soon in the 9 conference game Big 12, I'm guessing that was the eventual compromise.
If I'm right, the final week should look something like this:
Alabama/Auburn
LSU/Texas A&M
Missouri/Arkansas
Ole Miss/Mississippi State
Tennessee/Kentucky
Vanderbilt/Wake Forest
Florida/Florida State
Georgia/Georgia Tech
South Carolina/Clemson

Totally works for me! For as long as the 6-1-1 lasts. Even with a 6-2 format we wouldn't see the opposite division opponents but one every 3-4 years...

I'll agree that Arky wont like that but you can't argue with the ratings gold that line up is for Rivalry week!
