That was a really stupid post.

Actually, I think he nailed your purported worldview pretty succinctly there.

I'd give him an A- for failing to mention the Koch Brothers, though.
Not even close.

Clearly you don't read what you write.

Quote:Damn. Alabama has a **** load of people on food stamps.

Yep, and it's a damn shame. Now, only if you and the president would agree with me.
I read what I wrote. Clearly LS knows nothing about me.

When you guys in Alabama start actually educating your residents, that might change. Unfortunately, the plan is to keep them stupid so they believe the "right to work for less" crap that the Republicons and corps are spewing.

Clearly 1/3 of us has learned they can suck at the public teat, Robs. That ain't a Republican idea.

Thinking must be painful for you. That might explain why you do so little of it.

Are you saying there are no Republicons on food stamps in Alabama? Maybe you guys should just go back to slavery. THat will cut down on the number needing food stamps. How many do you plan on owning when it is legalized?

You just suggested going back to slavery, you racist prick.

See how easy that was?

Smaug, you're doing the equivalent of trying to have a conversation with a rock. I'm sure you know that but Rob is programmed to spit out simple, simple phrases like, "you're stupid" and "trickle down." His software is simple and creating actual discussion is far above the capability of RobertN v1.0.

Oh, I get it. He is beyond valueless as a poster. He's deliberately inflammatory.

He apparently enjoys some slow kid mascot status that keeps him being banned.

That's okay, though. He's occasionally amusing.

It is. Problem is the only jobs available pay ****** wages. But this is what you guys want.

Then why is it that everyone on the left celebrates when the unemployment rate drops due to a bunch of part time/low wage jobs being added?
Growth is growth. At least people are working.

Except that you're wrong. Not that I can take the time to point that out every time it happens, but I will this time.

Why do we have to pay for food stamps for college students who choose to go to college full time and not to work? It's great that they want to improve themselves, but why do I have to pay for their meals? I didn't expect the taxpayers to pay for my meals when I was in school.

Good question. I guess someone said "WTF, I know they will say no but I'll apply anyway". Then, HOLY CRAP, they said yes. The though never even occured to me while in school, undergrad or grad. Of course, I worked while doing both, but that thinking is going by the wayside now it seems.

100% WRONG. I know someone who looked into assistance while in school (roommate) and was flat told if you went to school, you WERE NOT ELIGIBLE for any government assistance. 2005ish.

This is a new thing.

This is clearly the first sign of the sequester kicking in.

I've heard of this through the grapevine at ODU. Until I heard about it I would have never guessed college students could join SNAP. However, I've only actually met 4 students that actually do take out SNAP benefits (2 of them are non-traditional students and have kids). Definitely an eyeopener though.

With the encouragement of this administration they are promoting SNAP in Mexico, so perhaps they have loosened the 'rules' for students, such as they are.

There is an entire cottage industry growing up of 'navigators' teaching people how to apply and get some of the many federal benefits available. I suspect that some in this industry are teaching folks how to game the system. In Obama's America, this is what is intended.

Clearly there has never been one iota of a systematic abuse of federal monies until Obama came along.

Do you fools seriously believe the deranged crap that you type on a daily basis?

Wow!

Yes, Tom.

Systemic abuses have always occurred.

If now is not a good time to clean them up, what time would you recommend?

You know the old saying, "The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. The second best time is right now."

The system is broke and it always has been. I've never implied anything to the contrary. And yes, Obama bears blame for not fixing things like this as he promised.

But I'm not going to let you guys get away with acting like this is all on him or some grand scheme of his.
