Why do we have to pay for food stamps for college students who choose to go to college full time and not to work? It's great that they want to improve themselves, but why do I have to pay for their meals? I didn't expect the taxpayers to pay for my meals when I was in school.

I've heard of this through the grapevine at ODU. Until I heard about it I would have never guessed college students could join SNAP. However, I've only actually met 4 students that actually do take out SNAP benefits (2 of them are non-traditional students and have kids). Definitely an eyeopener though.

The system is broke and it always has been. I've never implied anything to the contrary. And yes, Obama bears blame for not fixing things like this as he promised.
