Looks kinda like a USFL or Arena League logo.

RE: AAC releases its' primary logo.
I asked this question on our Rivals site the other day...
Do you guys think that C-USA will do a new logo after ECU, Tulane, & Tulsa leave after next year? IMO, it should.

Not a big fan of current CUSA logo. I would like to see something like this USFL logo.

No reason to change the C-USA logo...it's clean, slick and it isn't an eyesore.

I'm pleasantly surprised both with the name and the logo. I think given the options this was about as much as a homerun as you could get and the branding ended up being very solid and gives several options of how we can be recognized.
American
AAC
or
Seriously who can really talk **** about anything that says American. Just about every non commy has some good anchors around the word.

Yeah, I'm surprised they didn't use all solid colors. Don't you want it to be simple? I like the idea, and if the A was just a solid blue it'd be pretty good. I mean, I was harping on the new Sun Belt logo cause it looked kinda like something from a gas station, but this looks like it was made in Microsoft Word.
EDIT: Proof!
Quick quiz. Which one was made by professionals earning money, and which one was made by me in Microsoft Word in around 10 minutes? Bet you can't guess.

We should not change our logo. Our brand is a lot of what we'll have going for us after the defectors go. We won't have many of the same teams and markets but we do have a conference brand that most cfb fans recognize, at the very least, and logos to go with it. Changing that would be a huge mistake, IMO.

Exactly. The C-USA brand is still strong. Changing the logo would be a bad move. "The American" is strong evidence that C-USA is a strong brand. You would think that The American would want to distance themselves as far from C-USA as possible considering their new membership, but The American's branding campaign is emulating C-USA. The biggest sign is the patriotic name, and then they followed it with the prominent star and obviously the colors. You would think they would want to be unique or maybe more like the ACC instead of C-USA. This is just one of the signs that Aresco is in over his head.

Ironically I commented yesterday on the AAC board about the logo they had there (which some user had done on their own). I like the user-created version much more than this 'professionally' created one.

That's pretty bad. There were a lot better looking ones that fans came up with.

Not too shabby. I like the secondary logo where it spells out "American"... should look good painted on a field.

Did they take CUSA's star too? What does the star look like in CUSA's logo?

Oh look... another thread about the AAC where a couple Marshall fans show their ass.
