Picked 15 of 16 SR participants -- I went all chalk except for Rice (which I have winning nat'l championship), so the only one I missed was Oklahoma.

RE: JUNE LUNACY CONTEST - 2013
Overall I've got 11 teams left, but only 5 CWS teams left. From the CWS, I lost my two 4th place teams and one of my bracket runners up, so I still have 155 possible remaining points.

I'll wait for 13th to tell me how much have collected so far. My picks for the SRs are:

(1)North Carolina
over
Clemson

Rice
over
North Carolina State

(4)Louisiana State
Over
Coastal Carolina

Cal Poly
over
(5)Cal State Fullerton

---
---

(2)Vanderbilt
over
Louisville

Arkansas
Over
(3)Oregon State

Mississippi State
over
(6)Virginia

Austin Peay State
over
(7)Florida State

RE: JUNE LUNACY CONTEST - 2013
I have 11 SR teams correct (including Oklahoma). Six of my CWS teams are left: LSU, UNC, Fullerton, NC State, Vandy & Oregon State. Seven of my regionals were perfect.

Woohoo! Perfectly average.

RiceDoc has some magic in that beer-stained coaster.

How are Boyd, the selection committee, and RPI doing?

I got 5/8 Omaha participants (including NCSU, dangit), but Vandy's my national champ. Gotta root for UNC to make it to the championship series for my best shot..

I got 6/8 in the CWS, but 2 of those 8 I predicted in 4th place on their side of the bracket, so they are useless as far as future points. I still have my predicted champ but have lost my overall #2 team as well. If my math is correct, I can earn up to 85 additional points.

Well, now I really am done. 185 points with a max of 195. I would say it's been fun, but I really wasn't in the hunt long enough to enjoy it. Good luck to those who still in this thing.

RE: JUNE LUNACY CONTEST - 2013
I fear our Baton Rouge denizen is likely to win this thing. Both teams I picked to be second in their brackets (NC and Oregon St.) are alive, but my third in bracket pick (LSU) went 2 and Q, while my 4th in bracket pick (Miss. St) is 2-0. I believe that means I can get a max of 30 points in the CWS at this point (of which I've picked up 10 already). So I'll end up somewhere between 238 and 258.

I'm in a similar situation, but with fewer points. If UNC wins today, I will get my post-LSU-meltdown maximum of 30 CWS points (picking OSU & UNC to be 2nd in their brackets) for a total of 236, I believe.

But I do have UNC winning it all in Alan Shelby's Rice Update contest. (Fingers crossed there.)

RE: JUNE LUNACY CONTEST - 2013
Well I'm done. The CWS went about as poorly as possible for me. The only way it could've gone worse is if UNC lost to NC St. I think I rang up 20 total points in the CWS. That's it. Pitiful. I had LSU and FSU in the the final series.

Congrats to RiceDoc. By the way, I am no longer a Baton Rouge denizen. Thankfully, I escaped in 1997. Thus the moniker. That place is a craphole.

Geaux Tigers though.
