RE: SEC B-Ball seeking primary tourney site
With the success of the SEC Football Championship in Atlanta and the SEC Baseball Championship in Hoover, AL one would have thought Slive would have pushed for this years ago.

True. The PAC 12 had their tourney in Las Vegas for the 2012 season. Not sure if that is a permanent thing, but what a yearly road trip that would be. Throw your nickels in a pickle jar for the whole year..04-rock

Seriously it does allow the host city to grow the event to make the venue even better. KC has done this for the Big XII and just extended their contract.

RE: SEC B-Ball seeking primary tourney site
I'm fine with Nashville becoming a primary site for the tournament since it is fairly centralized and it sounds like they will still host it in other cities some years. Plus from St. Louis it is only a 4.5 to 5 hour drive to Nashville.

Based on this ESPN article it looks like the SEC tournament will be in:
2014 - Atlanta
2015 - Nashville
2016 - Nashville
2017 - St. Louis
2018 - Tampa
2019 - Nashville
2020 - Atlanta

Hopefully St. Louis goes well and can win the tournament again. I also agree with a poster above that Memphis would be a great place to have the tournament at some point.

St Louis has experience with big time tourneys, and will make the SEC proud. I am pretty sure they will get their share in the future. That said, geographically, Nashville is a home run.

Medic, has there been any talk of trying to get a bowl game at the Edward Jones Dome? Something similar to Detroit's bowl could work well there. That would be a great spot for a mid to lower tier bowl of SEC vs. Big 12 or Big 10. The SEC needs to continue taking advantage of St. Louis. Getting the men's tournament for a year is a great start.

By the way, any chance of playing UK in football sometime in St. Louis? That would be fun.

We played Illinois for like six years in a row in St Louis... you never know... There was talk of a bowl. I will do some digging...

New Orleans is always my preference, but I can see why Nashville or Memphis would be the choice for others.
