June Lunacy?
Anyone stepping up to manage our traditional yearly bracket competition this year?

Boyd's gotten his (ISR-based) picks in early:

Here's a look at our quadrant of the bracket- he gives us a 14% chance of winning this weekend, and 5% of making it to Omaha.
Code:
Reg    Super  Final  Champ  Team

99.1   85.8   39.7   26.3   North Carolina
0.9    0.2    0.0    0.0   Florida Atlantic
0.0    0.0    0.0    0.0   Towson
0.0    0.0    0.0    0.0   Canisius

61.5   11.4    1.6    0.5   South Carolina
34.8    2.6    0.2    0.0   Clemson
1.9    0.0    0.0    0.0   Liberty
1.7    0.0    0.0    0.0   St. Louis

82.1   51.6    7.5    3.0   Oregon
14.4    5.0    0.1    0.0   Rice
3.5    0.6    0.0    0.0   San Francisco
0.0    0.0    0.0    0.0   South Dakota State

77.2   36.7    3.4    1.2   North Carolina State
21.7    6.1    0.2    0.0   Mississippi
1.1    0.0    0.0    0.0   William and Mary
0.0    0.0    0.0    0.0   Binghamton

Go Owls, beat the odds!

Rules - Copied and pasted from last year's thread:

Predict the finish of every team in the field of 64.

1 point for picking each team that wins a game (48 pts max).
2 points for picking each regional finalist (64 pts max).
5 points for picking each regional champion (80 pts max).
3 point bonus for perfectly predicting a regional (48 pts max).
10 points for picking each super-regional winner (80 pts max).
5 points for picking each team that wins a CWS game (30 pts max).
10 points for picking each team that reaches the bracket finals (40 pts max).
15 points for picking each team that reaches the championship series (30
pts max).
20 points for picking the national champion (20 pts max).

I believe tiebreak was runs scored in championship series.

Winner gets a Perrott-head, and a Ratt hat. Perhaps second should get two of each...

I expected the hats of the Seniors would be on Ebay right after Omaha.

No, because Blake will be back for two more seasons. Consequently, the Fox fedoras and Byrd berets will live on next season (and the one after that).

I guess I could add a can of Blue Silly String(er)...BTW, that stuff is hard to clean up after it sits awhile.

The Chef hats for Cook were OK. I think because two of our section have size 8 heads, the hats didn't work quite as well.

I liked the beards, but they were uber hot for Aquino. Of course when he shaved that made them sort of mute.

We could add both of them to the prize package.

Easy, 13th-- I'm expecting (well, at least hoping) both Keenan and Michael will be returning for their Senior year in 2014.

No go, unless someone steps up to manage the brackets/scoring. I've been searching for a site/app to help with this today, to no avail.

Noodle,
Have them send me a PM. You set up the rules, have them PM me their picks by sometime Friday morning. I will manage the bracket/scoring. Assuming you are down with being the frontperson.

Aquino's beard was Stanley Cup worthy.

Okay, I'll assume same set up as prior years: (1) predict finish each of 16 regionals, 1 - 4; (2) predict super regional winners; (3) predict each bracket in CWS , 1-4; (4) predict CWS WINNER. [as I recall some bonuses along the way as well for perfectly predicting regionals]

will IM my picks. 02-13-banana

I think you are corect in the set up, but to be sure, NoodleOwl has set up a new topic that includes the rules.
