It seems Upton knows his swing is f'd up and is willing to do whatever to fix it. The team playing well without his offense is making that easier on him and the fans.

Upton has MUCH better defense this season. Ike is capable of playing quality D, but he hasn't since his first season up.

And least, Upton is better on the bases (Not that it matters, since they're never on the bases).

i was really just talking about hitting as it's pretty obvious upton is the better overall player.But if i had to hazard a guess about the kind of work upton is putting in to fixing his swing, I'd say it consists of him playing as the Atlanta Braves in MLB 2K14

Ha. I've noticed his swing shorten some, and I'm not one who analyzes that kind of stuff (it was looooonnnnngggg at the start of the season). His attitude about it is much better than anyone could expect, and I think that's all due to the team winning.

Looks like the new swing didn't work yesterday

Fredi Gonzalez is considering asking BJ to go to the minors. He's lucky the team is playing well, or else they'd crucify him

somehow i doubt this is anything more than reverting back to the mean. His low BABIP makes me believe he was due a little luck. I heard his game winning hit a night ago was of the broken bat variety

I doubt it was the (unsupported) talk of AAA. He's been working on his swing all year, and it's been getting shorter/quicker lately.
