OT: Can someone explain the B1G thing to me?
I just started seeing this crap everywhere a few months ago and it took awhile to register that it somehow means Big Ten. Can someone explain the development of that ..what? phrase, glyph, symbol?

The logo is a combination of BIG and the number 10 combined into one "word". The I of BIG is changed the the numeral 1 and the G is shaped somewhat like a 0. The idea behind it is to allow fans to see the two words in one.03-yawn

Just use P1G instead. It's more fitting for them.

Seriously? I hope they used some marketing undergrad from Iowa's idea cuz I'd hate to think they paid for that. With 100 guesses I wouldn't have come close.

It's also easier to figure out that symbol by counting the number of teams in the conference. Then it makes even more sense. Can a G be made to look like a 4? I suppose all those issues are solved if they add 2 more members. Maybe that was the plan all along.
