lol....While I believe that, Im not confident the Liberty will see it that way.

Some of this information is bad. Both the Big 12 and Big 10 have signed on to rotate playing in the Heart of Dallas Bowl. I wonder how much research the guy at Sports Illustrated really did before creating this list.

I don't think it's quite that bad. The AAC will probably get the Liberty and two or three of the other affiliations that CUSA has now. But it does look like each of the contract conferences are looking to place at least their top five teams in a bowl game vs. another contract conference team.

I never knew that the Liberty Bowl was so popular that the B12, SEC, AAC and ACC would all have aspirations for it. It always seemed like just a pedestrian bowl to me.

With the SEC and ACC each looking at 10 bowl-eligible teams pretty often, and the AAC looking for any decent bowl they can get, the Liberty is the biggest question mark on the bowl landscape.

For the Big 12, it's pretty close to their footprint, in a fun city, in a big stadium. The Liberty Bowl is a better option than the Independence Bowl, or a small-campus-stadium bowl like the Armed Forces.
