I thought it was funny, myself. And if we have to be compred like that, the SEC is the best one to be compared to.

We got dibs on Alabama. 03-lmfao

Um no. We send our conference champion to a BCS bowl. You send yours to The New Orleans Bowl to play a middle-of-the-road CUSA school.

Logic not even once.

You've never been in a conference that sent it's champion to a BCS bowl. Next year will be your FIRST and LAST year in an AQ conference. People on this board are much more knowledgable than you appear to be. So don't throw around misleading statements thinking we'll fall for them and you won't get called out for them. Houston is no AQ team. You're not in the Big 12 and you're not elite. You lost to Texas State. You have no room to talk smack to anyone.

RE: The Sun Belt is to the SEC as the MAC is to the B1G
As for the frosh and sophs comment (like there were no jr's or sr's on the team), we were an FBS transitional with 80% of our team recruited for an FCS program. (2013 it will go down to about 50%)

Man up and just admit we beat you and on that day we were the better team. You don't hear us making excuses for 2010. We got our butts handed to us. We also got wiped up and down the field by TTech in 2012. No excuses. We played ugly.

We gave a few teams a good run for their money but didn't finsish. We won a couple other games. It happens sometimes. We'll get better but we just happened to have it all together that one day in September. A little credit for a 1st year FBS would be nice instead of a string of excuses.
I won't make any for our 1st year other than it was our 1st year. This year there is no room for any excuses. We win or we lose by what we put on the field.

I'm not a fan of Cougar Hippy's flame-baiting but in his defense, we did beat UNT 44-21 and I honestly think UNT would've lost to Texas State.

Well I disagree with that. I don't think we would've had any problem with them. Houston has just been tough for us lately. We were a better team than we played in that game. We did beat ULL and were 9 points away from being bowl eligible. I wasn't intending to insult Houston as a program, but the cockiness of Cougar Hippy is undeserved and uncalled for. I do respect Houston as a program though. After all, we are 7-7 against you guys 04-cheers

Always baffles me to see someone attempt to assume some superior role due to what school they may root for.
Probably 2/3 of those individuals have never even set foot on the campuses of those schools.

I just found it funny that we lowly move ups should know our place and not smack talk sucha superior team like Houston.
Heck, GSU fans talk trash against bama and uga. We will probably talk smack with Florida this year.

Houston is no bama.

#SATanalogies

I hated those questions. To me it reads that the SBC is at a certain level to the MAC as the SEC is at a certain level to the B1G.

Which would work if you assume that the SEC > B1G. That would mean the SBC > MAC. 04-rock Is that what you mean?

My highest ACT score was a 29, but I always just marked 'C' on these questions. They're confusing as hell.

I completely agree. I see it every day with UGA fans. And 7 times out of 10 they have never been on campus during the week.

There you go. I took the OP as facetious smack (realized later that wasn't his intent) and posted a few little factoids showing Houston as being just as much an afterthought in their CFB market as the rest of us. At least those of us in small markets have majority support in our own communities.

There are very few G5 schools who distinguish themselves from the rest and you can call it arrogant or delusional but GaSo fans have an expectation of winning. We don't plan on kowtowing to anyone - especially another G5 school whose main attraction is being in a big city of people who couldn't care less about their program or the school.

Corrected your statement. I can pull up the TV ratings if you want.

No, not necessarily. SMU, Tulsa, and every school in the MAC are a few of many examples of 8-9+ win teams (many of whom being ranked) that can't draw flies.

Wow, as a Houston resident it shocks me to see such cockiness out of a U of H fan. Please do not act like your school is the greatest gift on earth... I personally wouldn't walk on that campus without the secret service surrounding me. That part of town is what I imagine Baghdad would look like. Oh and remember that when you want to make fun of any other university, at least ours wasn't started in a high school... Coog High

The Cougars 27K attendance average is impressive for a school of 41K students in a city of 6 million people! That's like a 4 thousandths of 1% rate! What's your secret?

It isn't wise for a former Division 2 school to start talking smack, esp to a school like Houston. Also considering that in our worst seasons, the attendance still outdraws a packed stadium in Nowhere, Georgia.

Keep in mind that our stadium only seated 32k before we tore it down and are currently building a new palace in time for our 2014 season. You may have been the big boys in D2 but you're at the very bottom in FBS so get used to learning your new role.
Hurry up and build it and invite us over,Like you have so many times before.RUN FORREST RUN!
