I've stopped drinking soft drinks, but on the occasion I have one, I'll have a Barq's.

As far as Coke/Pepsi, I prefer Coke, but I'm not a fanatic about it. If Pepsi's all there is, I'll drink it.

I mostly just drink water.

Both are basically poison...don't mess with High Fructose Corn Syrup...

How about a Fresca? Mmmmmmm? Mmmmmmmm?

I prefer hot tea in the morning, skim milk at lunch and beer or bourbon in the evening, but if I drink soda, it's:

1. Dr. Pepper
2. Cherry or Vanilla Coke
3. Original Coke

Coke is superior to Pepsi.

Mountain Dew goes down smoother than MY or SD. SD is a little strong for my tastes...I can't drink a lot of it.


The only problem with Cherry Coke is it is hard to find 2Ls of it. Cherry Pepsi seems to have more of a cherry flavoring than Cherry Coke. I like either though, and when ice cold to where you get a brain freeze is when they are at their best.

I left out Sprite and 7Up as I don't care for either but if I had to pick, I think Sprite is a little smoother going down than 7Up. 7Up has always had a strong taste to it for me.

Unless you prefer Yohoo. Some of us aren't cola drinkers. Of course, I can't stand chocolate either. So they're both ruled out for me, and so is the Moon Pie...

Yup...that the only kind of soda I will drink...one made from real cane sugar...but mainly drink h2o.

Prefer COke, hated when they stopped making Vanilla COke. Diet Pepsi is good with rum, vodka or wisky though

Definitely do like the Dew(Diet) though and it's great as a mixer

Those things mix a better cherry coke than you can get in a can, bottle, or 2L.

Pepsi smuggled sugar in from the Caribbean. They also could not get glass for bottles. They were able to smuggle in 16-ounce "medicine" bottles, which lead to the now standard 16-ounce containers.

The ulterior motive for the survey is that NCSU is renegotiating its campus wide contract. It looks like Pepsi is in the lead. I was curious what others actually preferred.

50% prefer/only drink Coke
26% no preference/don't drink soda
24% prefer/only drink Pepsi

I hope Pepsi gives them a ton of money because it looks like they will sell a lot less drinks.
