RE: Finebaum to ESPN!
I think Finebaum and Bill King are utterly unlistenable. Honestly, it's incredible to me that people listen to that nonsense.

Who to where?

I never listen to talk radio nor ESPN.

I burned out on talk radio around 1994 or so.

For those who think Paul is the answer that works if you are into no rules trailer park women's mud wrestling and no holds barred grudge oriented cage fights. Wedge this will truly help bring "Idiocracy" to reality. Finebaum's shows are 10% news, 30% decent guests (like Brando, former coaches, other talking heads, etc.) and 60% moronically driven verbal jabs from the least of all fan bases (which Paul eggs on and then mocks). One or two days worth of listening can be entertaining, but much longer than that becomes depressing when you start to realize just how stupid these people really are. For those who are not from the area just think about Harvey Updike, the guy who poisoned Auburn's trees. He was a Paul Finebaum caller who committed the act in part thinking he would gain Paul's approval or at least that of the Alabama fringe that listened to Paul regularly. Is this the crap we really want aired on a national level?

Well maybe so, reality TV is why sports contracts are going even higher. There is nothing else on to watch once you have seen every movie ever made.

I am not saying they are making the best choice in that regard but the Big Ten rolls differently than the SEC does.

I agree 100% with this He1nous. The SEC and the South in general has been working hard to overcome stereotypes for over 100 years, and have made great strides since the 60's. Airing this show will only reinforce those stereotypes. And, why SEC university presidents aren't up in arms about this means that they either didn't know this was coming down and didn't have time to object, or they are clueless to the fact that it is the XM listeners and not the AM listeners that write the checks. Since I don't believe the latter, it must be the former.

Paul Finebaum is the pied piper of T-shirt fans everywhere and is nothing more than the lowest form of yellow journalist, a muckraker.

Finebaum is a great interviewer and does bring in some good guests from all over the country.

Finebaum's show is very good to listen to when some big SEC news is happening. Like if there is a big coach fired, Finebaum gets to business and takes things a little more seriously.

Unless you are a SEC or Alabama fan, the Finebaum show is not very interesting. I would rather listen to the Phil Steele show on Friday on the Bill King show during CF season on the satellite radio.
