RE: Mike Golic’s son transferring from Notre Dame to UC
Has anyone heard Golic say a word about UC on Mike and Mike in the morning? I only listen occasionally and have heard nothing.

i listen for maybe 20 mins or so during my ride into work each morning, and i haven't heard anything yet.

with that said, i did see where mike tweeted he'll be at every game this year - home and away - and i know the folks at nippert will make a great impression on him.

RE: Mike Golic’s son transferring from Notre Dame to UC
When this was first announced, he mentioned it on air. Said he would be fully supporting UC while his son was there, and that he'd be at all of the games.

There's not really anything else for him to say until it gets closer football season. The team will be getting at least weekly mentions during football season, and perhaps more discussion if his son actually sees the field.

My guess is Coach Tuberville sees the PR opportunity with this too. Mike attending games @ Nippert will be a first I'm sure. If Golic isn't the starter I bet he sees some playing time with an opportunity to shine on a play or two. You couldn't begin to calculate the dollar value of that kind of exposure. Positive comments weekly by Golic on his national broadcast; a quick start with early wins over B10 teams followed by a top 25 ranking and the buzz around UC will only grow from there.

Hope that's not the case. Doubt TT would play anyone unless they earn it. If you get PT just because your old man is well known in sports broadcasting, what kind of message does that send the rest of the team?

Agree that he must earn that PT but it's not like he's transferring from Morehead State. He was recruited to and played in (limited PT I know) a big-time program that was in the national championship last season.

Above Average hands, but has definitely been developing his footwork and blocking over the past year. Someone to look out for...especially given Annen's lack of athleticism. From all accounts, Tubby would rather have athleticism on the field.

Does anyone know whats up with Travis Johnson? He was rated a four star by Scout. if Annen isn't fitting the bill, is it possible that Johnson, perhaps, sees the field early? i'm just curious to see if the hype is actually legit.

It's probably tough to say until he actually gets to campus. I'm in the camp that actually thinks Annen can do a sufficient job. Dowdy has the most athleticism in the group and should also play quite a bit (if not eventually start). Johnson may work his way into the mix but it's tough to really gauge for a guy who is just graduating high school as we speak. Johnson is clearly a very talented player. And I think the other TEs we signed have a lot of potential as well.

Chris Bains has a screen grab of him wearing the polo over on Bearcats Nation.
