Now they will have the Detroit Lions Bowl for B1G vs ACC.

Pizza Bowl goes away completely. We may be at the end of Big 5 vs. the Rest bowl pairings.

On the plus side we don't have to worry about going to Detroit twice in a month anymore.

Perfect opportunity to move our host bowl game to Indianapolis. Hope our commissioner jumps on that.

Big 10 never filled this bowl game anyway and it survived just fine with at-large teams.

I don't understand the Detriot Lions organization forcing the MAC out. We place our MAC championship and bowl game there for a while. Maybe the MAC administration may want to give a 2nd thought to supporting a stadium/organization that is not supporting the MAC.

I would bet that it is not the Lions but the B1G not ever wanting to face a MAC team in a bowl again.

Most likely the MAC will be the secondary if a B1G team is not available.
I would guess that the AAC would be the secondary if an ACC team is not available.

I really wish we could have a bowl pairing with a team from the ACC. That is one conference I think we would be able to schedule a few more games home & away with the "bigger" name schools.

Hey Ford Field, good luck with your future 6-6 Wake Forest vs. 6-6 Maryland matchups, provided both conferences can even supply enough eligible teams. I'm sure both will send more fans to Detroit for Christmas than a 9+ win Michigan MAC or Toledo could. 03-shhhh

Yea, if the Big 14 doesn't want to be in the LCPB, fine. They hardly ever were, anyway. Why do they have to get rid of the LCPB?

I am sure the AAC would take that as their #6 or #7 bowl slot immediately.

The MACC should be hosted on campus. No reason to have it in Indy or any other city.

Yeah, when that Jeremy Guy MAC or whatever tweeted last year the question on what would attract for more attendance at the MACC, I responded to move the MACC back to the campuses.

No response.

RE: B1G drops Little Caesars Pizza Bowl
@Mark_Synder tweeted that the Little Ceaser's bowl might move to Comerica park. Let's see. Detroit, check, Late December, check, Outdoors, check, night game, check. Why? Why even play these games? They mean even less now that there will be a four team playoff. The Boo Yas are laying off 400 people today. Maybe we'll finally see some contraction in the number of bowl games. Our guys had a great season, 6-6 and we beat an unranked CUSA team in the Beef O'Brady's bowl that was watched by 41 people. At least all the players got some nice work out gear, a tee shirt, and an Ipad.

They don't mean less now that they're putting 4 teams together and calling that a playoff.

The MAC teams that draw in that bowl are the Ohio nad Mich teams. Those fans in all probability drive up the day of the game and go home. Very little money left in detroit. And you really don't want to play the MAC championship there and come back a week and a half later for a bowl.
