Could we roll this up into the other ACC/MSG thread so we can contain all the "thread derailing" to one thread?

What does the Pinstripe Bowl have to do with MSG. Why roll it up. It is an entirely different topic and there is no surprise the both the B-10 and the ACC are interested in taking it away from the former BE / new AAC.

The ACC has BC, Syracuse, Pitt, and the Virginia schools surrounding it. It also has ND as a member that was the contracted backup to the B-12 is they did not have a team to place in this bowl.

The B-10 has Penn St, Rutgers, and Maryland surrounding it for fairly local teams to rotate through it depending on their records.

AAC has Temple, UConn, and Navy in close proximity too.

Pinstripe would be wise to have the ACC and the B-10 as the main attractions with the AAC as a contracted backup or rotate all three conferences through with the highest ranked available teams named above playing each other. This bowl is kind of like the Sun Bowl depending on regional spectators and supporters to make it successful and possibly sell it out.

Um... the OP is referring to the ACC basketball tourney and NYC. Not sure where you're getting bowl talk from.

We already have an ACC/MSG/NYC thread:
