It had better be soon since Woodson seems ready to end this. If he makes it out of Memphis without committing I think our chances go way down. Just a feeling based on his quotes.

Well, he lives in Huntington right now, so its not like it takes a lot of planning or effort to get it done

It probably comes from the way that some (not all) UAB fans trashed ECU's hiring of Jeff Lebo. I don't hate UAB or any of that jazz, but I do like to chide some of their fans for some of the comments that were made after Lebo was fired from Auburn and hired at ECU.

Which fans? I've asked this before, and you guys have no answer. If such hurtful things were written that you are still upset about it today, don't you think you'd remember which ones wrote them? I am just genuinely curious. Was it one UAB fan? 3? 5? 25?

Who said that anybody was upset about it? Lebo's continuing to beat UAB in basketball is vindication against those posters that made the comments. Like I said; it wasn't all UAB posters, so don't get worked up about it. To be honest with you but it was so long ago that I can not remember everybody. I have to admit that some of the comments were kind of funny.

Well, if that's the case, at least it makes sense as to why SJ is bashing UAB's hiring of Haase. And while I wouldn't have trashed the hiring of Lebo at the time, it sure didn't make a lot of sense to me. It's worked out okay for ECU so far though.

It has zero to do with that. I just think independant of it you made a poor choice firing Davis to hire Haase.

Davis can't recruit. I think Haase can

Davis could recruit, he just couldn't: get guys to get in school; get guys to stay in school; get guys to pass class; get guys who wouldn't become complete head cases. Over the course of his 6 year tenure, I think I can count the number of useful 4 year players he brought in on one hand.

He would have no problem competing for time against any of our returning big men but he has to be wondering what's going on with our program. Keith Morehouse / WSAZ reported on the 6pm news that we have suffered yet another defection with Jamir Hanner/6'8" 210 SO allegedly transferring to Buffalo.

I never could figure out what was going on with the Herd last season. Lots of talent that played very well at times, but just couldn't put together a streak of wins in conference play. The Herd was a mystery team to me.

I could not understand how a team that pushed Memphis to the limit at FedEx Forum can suffer so many defeats in conference.

The Marshall I saw in Bartow Arena was not a team.

Yeah, it was very strange. Talent definitely wasn't the problem for them last season. I'm hoping Marshall bounces back to where they were the few years before.

Hearing that his AAU coach and Mentor Kevin Robinson is telling people that Dominic is down to URI and Memphis. #GoRhody

No offense (and I like UAB as my past posts attest), but the Marshall team that night in Memphis would very likely have beaten UAB or any other C-USA team.

That's the same guy who said Marshall was out of it earlier, only to have woodson tell Taylor himself that it was Marshall and Memphis a day or so later.

Recruiting is a murky activity. For example, the Tigers very nearly committed a frontcourt player last year only to find him shortly thereafter signing with the Ole Miss Black Bears.
