Casey Alexander to Lipscomb?
Report coming out of the Tennessean. Anyone else hearing this?

Hmmm. Alexander had a terrible first year and a good second year at Stetson. He's now facing a tough rebuilding task, and I don't think that his recruits look that strong. I can see where it would be a good time for him to make a move back home to Nashville, where Lipscomb has several good players on board (6'10" rising soph Stephen Hurt, 6'5" Smith brothers and 6'4" Khion Sankey). And Lipscomb is a twin of the Belmont home where Alexander had a long, happy stay.

Lipscomb, meanwhile, would be hoping for some Rick Byrd mojo from Rick's former right hand man.

It makes so much sense that the rumor almost starts itself. Might even be true.

The big Hurt is a big loss for David Lipscomb. He was the league's best big man with no ceiling in site.

I completely despise Lipscomb for this move, and I hope Stetson can land on their feet. I have two ideas for Stetson to get for coaches:

Mark Slonaker (former Mercer coach, knows A-Sun, and can RECRUIT -- which Stetson desperately needs)

OR go for the bombshell hire... Sanderson.

Hurt couldn't really move and based on where he came from I'd be willing to bet there were serious academic issues.
Great move for Lipscomb, bring in a local guy who has relationships established with coaches within a four hour radius of Nashville.
