RE: Baseball Countdown?
Closing pitching let us down . . .had 0-2 or 1-2 count with 2 outs on at least 10 pitches. Too many hacks/fouls by the Tribe.

Tribe pushes 4 across with 2 out...... Our "closer" seems to be anything but.

I wasn't able to watch. Was the same pitcher in there for the whole 9th?

RE: Baseball Countdown?
Woooooooowwww. WTF?!?

How do you lose that with 2 down, middle of the 9th, up 3? That's a clinic on choke right there. How many hit batters in one game? 6? Good grief.

Baseball: JMU's game vs. William &. Mary set a CAA tournament single-game record for total hits (45) and batters hit by pitch (13).
8 of those were by jmu pitching. this kind of stuff frustrates me coaching little league.....but those are little kids......these young men were recruited as pitchers to play college baseball.....wtf.

Looking at the box score, the answer is yes. Chris Huffman allowed 4 hits, a walk, a HBP, and 4 runs in the 9th. Having used 6 pitchers to that point, I realize our options were limited, but was anyone even warming up in the bullpen?

RE: Baseball Countdown?
What kind of teams give up late game leads, hit multiple batters, and 20 runs?

Bad coached teams. We didn't deserve it. Plain and simple.

Baseball Countdown?
That's how Delaware lost to northeastern yesterday. They led by 2 or 3 in the bottom of the ninth and managed to blow the lead and lost on a walk off hit. They allowed 3 or 4 runs in that half inning.
However, I don't think they were down to their last out and last strike. Shades of the Texas Rangers almost winning the WS over the cardinals in 2011. Just one more strike, TWICE! What an epic choke that was.

You probably can't tell from the box score, but they left the pitcher from the 8th inning out there to start the 9th but made a pitching change after he gave up a lead off hit.
