How do other schools do it?

I feel like at Ohio State, Iowa, and some of the other bigger stadiums i've been to the entire stadium sounded like it was surrounded by audio.

Larger stadiums and many more people to absorb the sound. In Huskies Stadium the the sound waves would be bouncing off of each other.

Will speakers be installed on the upper section of the scoreboard where it's open now ? If not, does anyone know what that space is for ?

Looks like there is another ribbon board below the main video section.

It appears that the biggest portion of the upper part of the scoreboard will be the stadium clock. Narrow panels on either side. It almost looks identical to the rendering.

Yeah, but it looks like the camera platform will extend quite a bit over the play clock. Maybe the final product will look a little taller than the rendering.

This is much more solid structure with the addition of the platforms to replace the old scaffolding. I had forgotten how flimsy that looked.

Timeclock is in place

Ribbonboard in the rendering is not happening this time. not enough money.

I saw the pics of the old scaffolding you posted somewhere, maybe on the main MAC board. Great comparison to the new structure.

Finished with the parts now just need to make it work.

The video board is definitely larger, but is the overall square footage of the scoreboard face the same? Hoped it would be a bit bigger.

Its twice as wide, not twice the size. The height is only slightly taller.

They more than likely have many speakers but you're also surrounded by a huge structure. I love the huskies but it's no Ohio stadium. That place was huge and loud

Me too but with having to use the old steel structure it couldn't get much wider.

We have a small stadium with excellent sight lines everywhere. We don't need a monster screen.

So we have an obviously larger video board (which is great) on a same-size scoreboard?

Yup

It is much wider than the old one, video will be greatly improved, new strucutre will improve safety and provide a great camera platform. Let's take the win and move on. It looks great to me.

The camera angle is going to make the stadium look much better on TV.
