Looks nice. UL elected to not put a conference label on the field I see.

any word on what kind of turf it was? When UMD put theirs in last summer there was some big debate about the type of turf, injuries, heat, etc.

The field we just took up was also field turf and it lasted around 8 or 9 years. I think the shelf life is suppose to be 10 years. No real complaints that I've heard

When are the Sun Bleached seats getting a replacement ? I'd buy some of the faded ones for My garage.

Does UL use the field for anything besides football?

No. I saw on a Louisville board what type of field turf ( in response to your previous question) and will try and find it and post a response.

Hey, Sandman, I hear we are going to be adding at least 8,000 seats and maybe even more to the open End Zone soon. 04-cheers

You have a link Wilkie or something about expansion??? I have read through a bunch of rumors about it, but nothing concrete. I wouldn't mind seeing something done to the north end in connecting the stadium to the HScomplex or something. I personally wouldn't mind seeing the university build seating down on the grassy area of the north end for the band section, and use their seats in the stadium and sell to season ticket holders. I don't think the stadium will ever get closed in like some think, but there will be more expansion amongst the north end as well as about the west side press box. I would say once everything is all said and done the Cards will be playing games in front of crowds close to 80thousand strong on most Saturdays. Just my opinion but realistically I think the stadium will see at least another 15thousand seats or better when expansion comes to a stop.

They are going to paint some kind of AAC thing on the field for this season to get by (this lame-duck season is going to suck 03-melodramatic), then UofL will permanently stitch the ACC logo after the season.

RE: New field turf at Louisville.
I have been hearing rumors of seats being added between the Schnellenberger Complex and the end of the seats on the East and West sides for some time now. The stadium is designed to put seating over the "party deck" as well. I can see it topping out at around 80K. I like Jurich philosophy of if you build it they will come. I would expect an announcement some time before play in The ACC begins.

RE: New field turf at Louisville.
Yeah the upper deck won't be expanded for a while but I'm pretty sure the endzones thing is happening. I believe that's why they haven't broke ground on the Academic Center yet ...the weight room expansion and the seat replacement too. It's my understanding these will all go down at the same time and probably next offseason. Papa Johns is expandable to 85k per the original blue prints. There used to be a picture of the rendering floating around somewhere. I'm sure modern technique and thinking could go beyond that but we're not ready for that type of plunge yet. The endzone thing adds 8-10k seats so we'll hit 60k plus easy.
