Kinda sorta true.

School officials have had no direct contact with the CUSA office. Consultants hired by the school have been doing that. It is called 'plausible deniability'. lol

Depends on who the official is that is doing the talking. Is it the President, AD, or just the day porter that carries out the trash each night.

The tweet was about an article in the Lafayette paper today. The AD denied having talked to CUSA officials. This was in response to some rumors over the last few days that CUSA visited the school.

His denial was specific to the past week or two.

RE: Is this true Louisiana?
I do not know what contact has taken place, but it was the same type of thing all of the schools that have left the conference stated. School deny everything until the final announcement to save face. If it does not happen, you just say "we never asked for membership in ____ Conference and we hare happy members of __________ conference."

The only thing Scott really said was that the rumor about C-USA officials being in Lafayette this week is not correct; which is believable since they have been in meetings in Florida this week. This article means nothing.

Yeah the headline is kind of misleading and makes it seem that nothing has ever happened or that there's no interest. As mentioned, its more to address rumors that there were CUSA officials in town early this week.

They were actually coming from a game at Apogee...said the place was deserted and their were no signs of life. They came to find a place where people come to watch football.

CUSA was probably trying to find my relatives in Opp, Alabama, because
they are considering all the large metro areas for their football strategy.
