Seeing how the Bowl news is making its rounds, which bowls would you like to add for the B1G?

As of now, the B1G will have:

Rose vs PAC
Holiday vs PAC
Orange vs ACC (at least 3x)
Cap One vs SEC (except those OB years)
Outback vs SEC
Gator/Music City vs SEC
Pinstripe vs ACC
Kraft Fight Hunger vs. PAC
Detroit (name TBD) vs ACC (replaces Little Caesars vs MAC)
Heart of Dallas vs CUSA (on rotation with XII/CUSA)
Meineke (Houston) game vs XII?

Add another? Which one?

Do you think the B1G should play more against G5 schools?

Not as first tie-ins, not really ~ the Little Caesar's against the MAC is fine, since its intended for some 7-5 or 6-6 barely bowl eligible school, but the important thing is more games against the Pac-12 and ACC and not as many against the SEC.

If some bowl in the bottom third had either the AAC or MWC as a secondary tie-in ~ say, Pinstripe for the AAC, or the MWC with a bowl in California or the Desert ~ that'd be OK for the variety.

As long as they keep one here in Phoenix, I am happy :)

That really sucks - Big 12 and B1G draw good crowds here

I'm not sure exactly which Bowl I would want it to be but I don't really like the fact that we do not have a matchup against the Big 12. Am I reading this line up correctly in that regard?

If the B1G keeps the Meineke, they'll have the XII matchup. Also, the Heart of Dallas could be on a rotation where the B1G plays the XII every 3rd year. We shall see. Delany said today that the bowl tie-ins will be official in 2-3 weeks.

Bump for EDIT on lineup - Little Caesars Bowl now going to be vs ACC. Pinstripe vs ACC confirmed by McMurphy.

On the Edit, I'd like them to move the Pizza Pizza Bowl Bowl to Indianapolis and play the Big Ten #11 vs the Mac #2.

Starting in 2014, the Pinstripe Bowl is expected to be in a Big Ten three-bowl pool with the Kraft Fight Hunger and Gator/Music City to get the fifth through seventh selections from the conference.

I kind of like (well, as someone who doesn't travel to these). Yankee Stadium, even if it's moved over does have a mystique you can't get many other places (maybe Fenway or Wrigley, but I don't think there is a football stadium I'd say has it).

Happy we are staying in Detriot, not happy about dumping the MAC. That was our bottom game and the MAC over laps our footprint entirely. One game against them made sense there.

Whoever it was, was a genius. Playing football in the weather in NY in December, with the number of Big Ten alumni in Greater New York ... its like they worked out how to get one of the only bowl games that was not a guaranteed away game.

Bump for Kraft Fight Hunger being official vs. PAC. That makes three west coast bowls vs the PAC.
