.....the AAC board is gangbusters. I guess our bowl situation is bad or something, but the deafcon 5 is hilarious to read through.

And the Memphis poster referred to is right on the Liberty. He just didn't guarantee that an interim stop in the AAC would be where we end up.

Step 1. Liberty signs with B12
Step 2. Memphis plays two seasons in AAC
Step 3. B12 extends Memphis an invite to B16 expanded conference
Step 3. Memphis poster is correct. Liberty goes where Memphis goes.
Step 4. Raids continue by ACC and B12 (16) and others.
AAC invites the new CUSA and gets turned down.
Step 5. Super Conference format is in place.
AAC folds.
NCAA takes back seat to the new world order in sports.

Laugh if you want but the discussions are happening.

That board is an absolute grease fire. I've literally never been a part of a greater collection of miserables in my life. Makes mt.org look like a sunny day in the park. I'm pretty sure the Cincinnati fans on that board have found a way to blame Aresco for the 2008 stock market collapse.

I think it's funny how some of the UC, U.Conn and especially the USF fans act like they're all that. They act like they're the second coming of Alabama, Ohio St., and Notre dame, when in reality they don't have anymore name recognition as anyone else in the conference when it comes to major college football.

true, if they did have more name recognition, the bowls and TV would take care of themself.

The fact that the AAC is considering an 8 thousand seat arena for the conference tourney tells you all you need to know. USF actually has fans?

Since Cincy is apparently to be our arch rival I'm not above taking potshots but, to be honest, most of the meltdown has been an ECU fan (yes, just one) with a couple USF fans fanning the flames.

Also, fsquid, there are no deaf Transformers, the correct term you are looking for is DEFCON 1 (not 5 and all caps are required).

There's a UC fan and a UH fan (AttackCoog) that are just awful as well.

Usually yes, but for whatever reason neither of them were instigators this time around.
