Sent my check in over a month and a half ago. Noticed on my last bank statement that the check was cashed (over 30 days ago), but to date have not received a "thank you", an e-mail, a form letter or any type of response from the ticket office letting me know that they have received my application. I have to admit that this pisses me off more than a little bit.

When should I expect at least an "your order is in process" response?

I received the Thank-you/Tax receipt form letter from the NIU Foundation and a thank-you card from HASF this past week. However these are donations sent with the season ticket application.

You will simply not get a season ticket confirmation. Never have. For the HASF donation, you will get the tax receipt from the Foundation and a form thank-you letter from Athletics.

RE: 2013 Season Ticket Brochure
NIU does have to work on the professionalism of their ticket office. When my wife and I arrived in Detroit for last year's MACC and went to pick up our tickets they had no record of our order. There was a very nice young lady from NIU who looked for our tickets,, could find no record of our order that then gave us two alternate tickets for the game after first taking our credit card number and explaining that we would be charged if they could not confirm that we had in fact previously paid for tickets. We told her that the original charge for the tickets had already hit our bank account as we had used a debit card so we were not too worried that they could confirm that we had previously paid.

Later I was surprised to see that NIU did charge us for the two tickets that we were given on game day which meant that we were double charged. I called NIU and happened to get the same young lady who had given us the two tickets on game day and she remembered me and got the charge reversed. Although it ended well it was in some ways a hassle and in other ways good service.
