Rod better take some interview classes. Low key with very short answers. Light a fire, Rod!
Nice cheat sheet.

Could not watch it in Central Ohio, I will look for it on You Tube. I hope that coach Carey turns out to be a good recruiter, motivator, alumni smoozer and game day coach.

If so, he can/will improve with media relations. He pretty much admitted that was something that was new to him when he took the job.

Updated to say that I have now watched a brief clip of the singing which I feel he did a good job with. I have not heard the interviews that NIU75 was refering to.

Nice cheat sheet.

Doeren was pretty bad his first year as well, really got better his 2nd year. I think that comes with the job. Kill was a little more polished, but had been a head coach at SIU for awhile and dealt with media.

Surprised he wasn't more loose based on seeing him interview down at the OB.

Maybe he should've had a couple of "Buds" before. Worked pretty well for the other Caray who used to be in that booth.

Does anyone watch the Cubs anymore? Would be nice to see the video of the interview if there was one.

The singing and the first pitch...

http://www.hustlebelt.com/2013/5/14/4329...irst-pitch

"Good form, and it was over the plate but rather high. Paul Bunyan might've swung at it. What would have made this tremendous is if they had an Orange Bowl representative booing him the entire time."

I really don't give a flip about his singing ability......it's all about his coaching ability, communicating with his players and asst coaches. It's a media event.....personally I like to look at Wins and Losses starting on Aug 31.
