The Roanoke Times does a feature called Your Community Looking Back. They post paragraphs from stories from 25, 50, 75, and 100 years ago. They don't post the entire stories just blurbs that give you a sense of what was going on. Anyway, in today's paper (which I don't believe they post this feature online but not sure)....from 1988 (25 years ago):

"Lefty Driesell, as expected, is taking James Madison's athletic program to new levels of exposure. That includes Roanoke Valley radio."

I wonder if that means JMU sports was not carried in Roanoke until 1988? I got to Roanoke in Sept. 1987 but that was so far back I have no idea.
