I don't think we crack you up at all, I think we piss you off.
Personally I find it hilarious, so I can only imagine how a fan of the MWC feels.
If I were a MWC fan I'd get daily giggles reading this board.
I love reading this board. I love conference realignment and about 80% of the topics here are conference realignment topics. Plus watching you guys freak out about everything is hilarious.

You've got "21" posts, most of which have been in the last couple of days, but you love "reading" this board. Sure pal, if by reading you mean trolling, then ok, that's about the only ******* truth you've stated.

RE: AAC Expansion:
I doubt Air Force will want the AAC now.
I'd be happy if we can get Army and Umass or ODU. Then add a few basketball schools like vcu and wichita state.

Like they have said, the academies are not in it for the money like everyone else is. What does army get out of this deal? Getting their arses handed to them on a regular basis and missing any glimmer of a shot at a bowl, just to be tied into a conference with Navy that they already play every year??? OR staying independent, playing some lower level MAC teams and traditional rivalries with a realistic chance of going 6-6? Tell me what Army has to gain? Navy and Air force are very competitive on the football field. Army was never competitive when they played C-USA football. Thats why they got out.
I hate to point this out to you, but what is the total points differential between Navy and ECU?
I think the academies are a solid measuring stick. We honestly should never lose to them, and if we do, then serious measures should be taken to make sure it doesn't happen again. They have their niche, and they are bound to at least beat each other.
I hate to point this out to You. I said ARMY.

Kruciff, I hope you are right. I'd LOVE to see this, but I already know we are interested in them... question is, are they finally interested in us?
Navy seems (thankfully) very firm and loyal, and all 3 academies together makes good sense. Hope Navy can pull AFA and Army onboard.
So, is this why we named it the American Athletic Conference?!

AF may like playing CSU and Wyoming, but not as much as Army and Navy.
It's a little silly to include Kentucky in the map when discussing the conference's future, isn't it?

Pretty sure that came from wiki, so if you don't like it, go fix it.

Air Force is not leaving the MWC.
Army will remain independent in the foreseeable future.
The AAC cannot afford to add more mouths to feed with the low ball TV contract it has with the current 12 schools in the conference.

RE: AAC Expansion:
Kruciff, I hope you’re correct. I would love to see the conference grab Army and AFA. It’s only my opinion but I feel the sum of all 3 service academies is much greater than any of them individually. The national exposure of having all 3 in the same conference will benefit all parties involved.
Below is a link to a Forbes magazine article titled “Army Versus Navy: The Most Undervalued Television Deal In Sports”.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/mikeozanian/...in-sports/
Some interesting quotes:
“according to SportsMediaWatch.com the battle between the cadets and midshipman did better on television for CBS than all but five of the network’s 18 nationally televised regular-season games last year.”
“Expect CBS to pay at least $10 million (per year) to keep the Army-Navy classic after 2018.”
An interesting point is with US government budget cuts the academies will be looking for more private funding. Besides the national exposure the revenue from the Army Navy game alone brings more to the bottom line then Army and AFA take away.
With numbers like this I don’t think it’s a matter of the AAC saying does the military academies being enough revenue to the conference, I think its Army saying are we diluting ourselves too much by joining the AAC.
