I am sure it will be pro-rated. If you put 30,000 miles on a set of tires you won't get a new tire to replace the old one if there is road hazard coverage. You get depreciated value. It will be adjusted I would expect. Still better than eating the entire cost on our own.

I think the NCAA passed a rule against this recently, or at least something to the affect that the field can't be the same color as the home jerseys if it's not green.

Thank God it's not purple turf. If it was, I would have walked out on it and puked all over the place so either way it wouldn't look nice.

I think a better image than this once existed, this is the only one I could find. The purple field turf discussion has been waged before (apparently there once was a Facebook group?)...

Does the field being flooded have anything to do with replacing the turf ? I did not hear of any damage by the flood .

I would think that if that had anything to do with it, it would have been addressed sooner.
I think it's more of it wearing down a little more than expected and getting it fixed. Plus it was looking pretty faded for being such a new field.

Yeah I didn't realize it had faded as much as it had until they had to re-install the South end zone after the scoreboard was installed with new turf and you could really tell the difference in color. I'm sure the fact that they practice on it so much doesn't help. Just glad they picked a similar, clean design and didn't do anything gimmicky. I think the purple end zones and trim will look nice. Assumption....I'm pretty sure the Duke Dog logo on the old field pointed toward the old side of the stadium. I'd assume they'll reverse that now. Should look better on TV.

Duke Dog was right for viewing from the Pressbox and suite side, was over there today and talked to the crew doing the regrading. Evidently the hastilly done southend was not level wiith old original turf so thats what he tractor/grader is trying to level out. I asked if he had a picture of what it was going to look like he said no at this time. They are redoing the part of the old track also to make the new side even all the way to the purple padding. May start the turf install later this week.

Really like the purple trim around the outside! I wish we could somehow get DukeDog at midfield positioned so he does not appear upside down to either sideline. Not sure how to do it, other than the older DukeDog upclose face in a circle. Still great news to get a new rug. Hell, the wornout carpet in my family room looks awful compared to this!
