We had flirted with trouble the last couple of innings. Pitching change probably works 9 out of 10 times.

Out of the inning. We have three outs left to prevent having to play another.

I agree. I don't fault her for making the change. Streetman was struggling and it was the right move. Who knew? You expect your reliever to not throw gopher balls.

I think you can pitch someone until their arm falls off in softball. Not sure if there is a pitching limit.

Yep you can keep pitching. She was brutal. Befuddled our hitters. Still if she goes we will hit her when she gets tired.

UCLA will also have played one more game than us in this regional which may be to our advantage late.

Looked like our 2-5 hitters were starting to get onto her. A couple of cuts could have been long balls if the swing is just a bit later.

as i sort of said before, ive never been into college softball at all until today, so im pretty ignorant on it (heck, i wasnt even certain how many innings they were going).

as i look at our roster, i note that we have 3 pitchers. is that typical? i guess i was expecting to see about 5

Blazers will be home team and have final at bat FWIW.

Gotta wonder about pulling a pitcher who's throwing a shutout.

Streetman was struggling a bit with control and Campbell had been solid for the most part. Marla's been making changes like this all year and it has worked more often than not.
