If they were to drop us, don't you think Mississippi State would raise its hand to replace them? I love your serio-comic angle, liberal one, but consistently beating the Oxvegas people is a flat-out wonderful "problem" to have.

Nope. They would not want to be a position of losing to us over and over any more than OM does.

Baseball budgeting dictates a need to limit travel expenses, especially for OoC games. I hear what you're saying, but games with Memphis tend to be that rare "gate" game/series that rings the cash register a bit better than those with the Alcorn State's and UTM's of the world.

I have to give the ole miss radio guy credit. I heard the end of the ole miss-USM baseball game yesterday and he was joking about losing to Memphis, twice, in Memphis and now USM at Hattiesburg and also lost to the Bulldogs in Starkville. He brought it up when he didn't have to.
