Julian Royal Picks George Mason
Julian Royal Picks George Mason[Image: julian-royal.jpg]

Paul Hewitt and his staff received some good news today as former Georgia Tech forward Julian Royal announced that he will be transferring to George Mason.

Royal was a four star prospect coming out of high school and was ranked in the top 100 on most recruiting websites. At 6’8″, Royal can play close to the basket, but also has the mid-range touch to hit shots near the three point line. Royal will have to sit out the next season due to NCAA rules, but will be eligible to play at a crucial time when Mason loses both Johnny Williams and Jonathan Arledge. The combination of Royal and Eric Copes should be one of the more dominating duos in the A10 for 2014-15.
