Exclamation Pre-Season Bowl Projections
CBS Sports' Jerry Palm has updated its preseason bowl projections... and it looks good for the ACC!

BCS Bowls.
National Title: Alabama vs. Ohio State.
Orange Bowl: Florida State (ACC champ) vs. Notre Dame (at-large #1).
Sugar Bowl: Texas A&M (to replace Alabama) vs. Clemson (at-large #2).
Fiesta Bowl: Texas (Big XII champ) vs. Louisville (Big East/AAC champ).
Rose Bowl: Nebraska (to replace Ohio St) vs. Stanford (Pac-12 champ).

So that's 2(3) BCS bids for the ACC, SEC and B1G, and 1 each for the Big XII, Pac-12 and AAC.

Non-BCS bowls (ACC teams only).
Chick-Fil-A Bowl: Va Tech vs. S. Carolina
Russell Athletic Bowl: Miami vs. UCF
Sun Bowl: N. Carolina* vs. UCLA
Music City Bowl: Ga Tech* vs. Arkansas
Belk Bowl: Pittsburgh vs. Rutgers
Independence Bowl: Virginia vs. Missouri
Military Bowl: Syracuse vs. Toledo

That's a total of 9 bowl teams.

* This must be a mistake - Ga Tech is supposed to go to the Sun Bowl every year, aren't they?

(I posted the same information - with comments - on my blog - LINK.)

I have no problem with those predictions. If VT ends up in the Chic-fil-a, I'd call it a successful season.

Looks good to me. Finishing third in the Atlantic, and making a bowl game, would really show that 'Cuse is on the right track. The only problem in that scenario is that the Toledo field goal debacle would be everywhere once again.

Guess how few Pitt fans would travel to Charlotte two days after Christmas to watch Pitt play Rutgers? ...besides me.

He must have Duke, Wake and NCSt not making bowls else one of them would probably slide into the Charlotte bowl.
