RE: Potential transfer QB?
Seriously doubt it. He is from Hawaii. I would say there is .01% chance that he is interested or has even heard of JMU. Mostly recruited by western schools out of high school.

This guy is transferring from New Mexico State, which is a horrible team, 1-11 in 2012. It looks like he has lost his starting job to a better QB. I doubt he would be any better than three-deep at JMU.

They changed their offensive scheme, and yes they were a horrible team last year but we are looking for a backup QB anyway.

Jmu has had Polynesian players before, take a look at Terrance Apted who transfered from Utah several years ago....he was a beast.

Hawaii puts out some great football players. I stay pretty much in touch with the local high school football goings-on. Oregon's QB, Mariota is a local boy, as is Notre Dame's Manti Te'o, and lots of others. I never even heard of Manley. NMSU was his best offer? They should be DII.

He still is a beast. He's my son-in-law. Great guy, too!

I wasn't talking about the quality of football in Hawaii. I was just saying that being from Hawaii he would most likely not be interested in JMU or even heard of us. Plus, what you said earlier.

No. My son is in Hawaii. We have three daughters, all still in VA. Terrence is an Academic Advisor for JMU's football team. One of my favorite pics of Big T. This guy was the cream of Urban Meyer's 2004 recruiting crop, and a HUGE part of the success of JMU football 2006-2008....
