Would his name be pronounced: "City Jitty?" For some reason that makes me laugh out loud.

Per this article: http://www.goupstate.com/article/2013050...2/SPORTS04

It appears he is Clemson or Memphis bound. One of his advisors is up for an assistant coaching job at Memphis. He was all ready to commit to Clemson, but then this Memphis thing came up.

Mohamed Djitte decision could be delayed
By Phil Kornblut

6-10 Sidy Mohamed Djitte was all set to sign with Clemson as of Sunday night. But Monday morning he came to his school in Fayetteville, NC decked out in a Memphis Tigers cap and T-shirt. Thus, the delay in an announcement on a school by Djitte. And a decision may be a few days off, if not longer. A source said Monday night a close confidant of Djitte, who is an assistant coach at a division one program, is in contention for an assistant's job at Memphis. The Tigers, who just lost assistant coach Damon Stoudemire to Arizona, have two openings on their staff. Should this person get the Memphis job, Djitte may follow him. The source said Djitte's coach at Northwood Academy is in favor of him going to Clemson. Djitte may not have a decision until his confidant's job status is resolved.

This information came from Bearcattalk.com.

This is reminding me of when Obepka was going about to commit.

Yeah, saw that over at BCT after the other poster posted the article.

Seems odd one minute he's thinking about following a potential coach to Memphis, per the article, and the next he's eliminated Memphis altogether.

Maybe the coach didn't get the job and that's why they eliminated them. LOL.

I couldn't take another African project, this might be a blessing. Watching the last two projects has been painful at times.

I'm not disappointed based on what I read about him. Doesn't sound like a difference maker but I definitely do not know. Good luck to the kid.

RE: 2013 Big Man
Meh. I'm not saying he would have been a superstar. But I do think having a kid like this 4 years instead of 2 like Mbodj and Nyarsuk, and even Ib Thomas was like 3 years I think. Thomas wanted to be a 3 and we needed him to be a 4 or 5. This kid sounds like a true 5 that likes to rebound, block, play defense, and must have some moves down low if he's putting up 20+ ppg.

I think he would have been a nice addition.
