Don't forget about the GWCC's jobs program where 4 workers who didn't finish high school are paid twice the fair wage to perform the duties of one minimum wage worker. Hartsfield Int'l has a similar program with 8 overpaid people doing one job.

You are correct, moreso if it turns out to only partly work right or ATL declares it 'complete' before it's actually done.

Disclaimer: As an Eagle I feel I should point out that I in no way mean anything derogatory about GaSt in the above sentence. As a former resident of ATL though, I may be condemning the City's ability to successfully follow through on their grand schemes...

Loved the reference to the F-750 driver offering to tow the stadium roof back open

Thanks. I agree wholeheartedly. The city government is inept and has a history of corruption. I'm sure we will see many stories of under the table shenanigans and waste over the next 5 years with this project.

Will given that the city and state have already colluded to even get this project approved, oh yeah you can expect all kinds of greased palms and such.

My favorite discovery about Atlanta in my time there, (though I confess I can't find the link today), was that apparently until about 5-10 years ago there had never been a city planner of any kind since the post Civil war period. And people wonder how there are 200 streets with basically the same name in the city.

Yeah who needs city planners. Pffft. In Georgia all the roads just follow the old Indian trade routes anyway. DOT says Just Pave It.

Pretty sure I-16 was the trail blazed by Sherman. There is NOTHING down that stretch of interstate.
