I didn't start the thread and I don't disagree with you. I just saw it when I was looking him up.

Yeah and Caleb White is a 3 star player on mulitiple sites Cincy had reportly offered. That's all I really was pointing out to those dogging our recruits.

The kid signed 3 days ago. I'd imagine he just got qualifed and that that contributed to some of the lack of recruitment after a senior year like that. It's a solid enough get with some relavance since your school had some interest.

I don't care who you are playing against, that is a hell of a stat line. That sounds like a baller

Not that it matters, but the thread was begun to poke fun at just one Cincy poster (Shock-n-awe). That was all.

He was Tops All-DC last year...we are all REALLY excited to see him play. He averaged 26/12.9/8 in his junior year too, so he's sustained those numbers pretty well. We've got a few other guys who will develop into some players here soon too, plus Jermaine Lawrence (#22 overall player in 2013). I really wish this wasn't the last year we had you guys on the schedule, things were just about to get really interesting once again.

Why is he unranked? Does he play at a small school or not play AAU ball?

He was #111 in the country in 2013...not sure where you're looking. Only reason why he wasn't ranked higher is because he doesn't have a skill-set that matches with either guard position. He is the epitome of a combo guard, but seeing how we play, that's going to work VERY well.

He has good size and that stat line is insane. These recruiting experts don't always get it right. A kid with that stat line playing in that area i just cant fathom being unranked. I know the recruiting gurus certainly missed out on Russ Smith. He was a 2 star recruit.

Don't know Corbett?

Cincinnati, Missouri, Virginia, Virginia Tech, UTEP, High Point, Wake Forest, Northeastern, George Mason, Radford, and VCU all offered him.

Yep, it really is funny if you think about it. Hell, just as another example Sean Kilpatrick averaged 28.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 6.4 assists over 4 years at White Plains Prep in NYC and he was only a 3* guy. There's just way too many players, a lot of guy that shouldn't slip through the cracks.

Exactly they cant get all these kids right. Another example is Otto Porter. How in the hell was that kid a low end 3 star???

I'm sure if you look there's probably way more 2* and 3* guys that end up playing way above potential than 5* that even meet theirs. That's why I rarely put much clout into rankings and star ratings, always live and die by the eye test.

On Scout he is listed as a 3 star but unranked at his position

Well Russ Smith was a 2 star UR and he averaged something like 30 ppg in the New York City public school league. Neither Russ Smith or Luke Hancock received a single scholarship offer out of high school and had to prep school.
