I don't even pay attention to his tweets anymore. He's always blabbing about something Liberty.

Time to add Liberty. MSU and JMU are too wishy washy. We will be sitting here next year at 11 repeating the same discussion.

The only impact Liberty's political issues could impact is the TV deal, but the Sun Belt tv deal is so bad it doesn't really matter.

If it's not Missouri State I'm really not that interested in anyone right now.

I do not agree. I don't think Missouri State has been wishy washy at all. It's been JMU.

There is no conference of public schools that will get 3/4 of presidents to vote yes for Liberty.

RE: JMU out of the equation, Liberty only viable option
Some of the Sun Belt schools would rather go independent than to add Liberty it seems.
That's been a closed issue. Who pays this guy to say things like that?

Can we please just nip this conversation in the bud before we have another Liberty meltdown on the board?

Missouri St is a basketball school that will be collecting Witchita St final 4 payouts for a few years. They aren't leaving. Stalling maybe.

Yes, because you are on their board of directors and know exactly what they are thinking about.

If they wanted in, they would make it happen. Ga State moved very quickly to accept. Ga Southern and App wanted in and moved on the SBC's terms.

JMU and MSU. Very different story which means they are just stalling. Complete waste of time for Benson to get jerked around like this.

The tweets are just that, two guys tweeting about Liberty. The rest of the story isn't here.

I can not post the "rest of the story" because it is on a pay board and, therefore, privileged info. I won't cross that line.

RE: JMU out of the equation, Liberty only viable option
From what I read, this guy is only saying that if the Sun Belt wants to go to 12 in football and hold a championship game in '14, Liberty is the only school willing to join, if an invite was extended. I didn't read in there that an invite is forthcoming, only that Liberty was the only option if the conference was hell bent on a championship game.

As mentioned before, a conference of public schools inviting a private school, unless it's Notre Dame would be very unlikely, especially if it's Liberty.

I will say this, if Liberty was invited, I would bet my Gideon's Bible, they would be in the Sun Belt for the long haul.

I'm going to tweet that I have inside information that Liberty isn't a viable candidate. Does it make it true? Who is this guy?

How have we been wishy washy? We weren't going to even approach conferences until we got phase 1 completed. If we don't go up now, there's good reason.

WE ARE. MO STATE

Brent is a longtime SID who has been around the southern football scene a very long time. He has tons of reliable (and occasional not so) sources and access to a lot of inside info. He's also the top TXST recruiting info expert that is a partner in the TXST Rivals site.

Don't wanna start anything but just trying to make a little point. Wasn't this same guy "believable" when he "put out" that Liberty wasn't a candidate anymore.

RE: JMU out of the equation, Liberty only viable option
From my understanding this is for only the 2014 season. 2015 is still up in the air. IDK why JMU wouldn't want to join in time for the 2014 season, makes me think they still have hope to go somewhere else. I like MSU and JSU, Liberty should not even discussed anymore.
