Best Sports Year Ever at Towson?
A great year got better this weekend with two CAA trophies in lacrosse coming home to TU. it's like a dream to make the NCAAs in lax and also have Hopkins miss the tourney for the first time ever. Classic. I cannot wait to go to work tomorrow.

Go Tigers and thanks for making it fun to be a Towson alumni again. It's been a roller coaster since 82 and I cannot ever remember being as proud as I am now.

Not sure this matches 1991 when baseball, basketball and lacrosse made NCAA's. Lacrosse made it all the way to the Finals. Gymnastics was also strong after making championship in 1990. They won the ECAC back then. The thrill of beating Rider on ESPN and playing Ohio State in Dayton was something I'll never forget as a student back then. I think if hoops can back to the tournament the same year as football makes it and lacrosse, then that makes it a complete year.

Still, a very good season.

1991 was a great year too. It's pretty sad that we have to go back 22 years to find a comparable year. I would say that the competitive landscape is more difficult in 2013 than it was in 1991, and that the CAA is a far more difficult league than the ECC was for hoops and baseball back then. College Lacrosse had 20 fewer teams at that point as well. Next year should be even better than this year as mens hoops should be better, mens lacrosse will be more experienced, football could win a third straight CAA title and maybe a national title, and womens lacrosse, womens basketball, womens swimming, and volleyball could all contend if not be favored overall for CAA honors.

With all of the awards that have been won by the coaches, players and the teams this has been the best year by far. Best thing is like was said above it should be better next year as we are going to be great in hoops and both laxes and football.
