It appears cincinnati is far ahead in this ranking of most Big 12 schools except Texas. I would hope the UC administration is collecting all data thatvshows it's worthy of Big 12 membership.

Yes, sorted on North America, only Texas (25) and Iowa St (193) from the Big 12 (unless I missed someone).

No schools from Victory Pkwy. or Oxford listed in the Top 400, listening to them talk over the years I would have expected them to be 1st and 2nd.04-jawdrop

RE: World University Rankings
This is quite standard for most university rankings. I looked at about 15 academic rankings last year, and found out that if UC and UConn were both in the ACC, UC would average 7th or 8th best out of 16 teams in those rankings. UC would also average 2nd or 3rd in the Big 12, tied with ISU and with KU very close behind.

Agreed--this is all information that needs to be shared with B12/ACC members as part of a well orchestrated communication strategy to establish the value that Cincinnati brings on all fronts--academics, athletics, campus, city, market size, etc.

Eh, Miami's a fine school, even if its fans are total d-bags. The Cincinnati area only benefits from having other quality institutions in the area. Unfortunately for Egg-savior and Miami, only one can be the best.

The methodology for this ranking favors schools that are heavy in research. Neither Miami nor X do much research.

All the more proof that academics mean about squat (or less) to the conferences.
