What's that old saying that NORAD had, "Confidence is High".
Who knows, but if it does happen CUSA has more to lose than the Sun Belt does in
terms of perception.

From reading their board, McNeese has been hurt by others moving to FBS because their home schedule and attendance has suffered. They have to schedule Division II home games. The fans want to play teams they used to compete with but they have gone FBS.

I suggested to some of their online fans contemporary to me that they outgrew 1-AA (even though they never won the championship) and that is at the heart of their problem. They are frustrated but don't think they can afford 1-A or get added to the Sun Belt because their former rivals will vote against them. The big expense for these FCS move-ups is that they have to sponsor more sports (and women's sports) which adds to the expenses and drains their revenue.

When they get a chance to play an FBS mid major, you had better be ready because that's a one game season for them.
