RE: College Football Attendance Dropping
So my interest in watching football games against SMU & ECU should be weighted by what my school has accomplished? You know i dont speak for the university and am just a fan right?

Whether we deserved to be there or not in the first place is irrelevant. The point is, we've gone from playing Louisville, WVU, Pitt, Rutgers, Syracuse to playing ECU, Memphis, SMU, UCF Houston and Temple. Sorry, but im not interested.

You got to play those schools based on nothing. ECU played those schools for decades too but you didn't see me crying when CUSA happened.

RE: College Football Attendance Dropping
At the end of the day all of our fans need to show up to see their school play not just who they are playing.
I have been a season ticket since the start and drive 300 miles each way o see the Bulls not just the opponent.
I think some of the younger Bull fans were spoiled and certainly this looks like a slide back in opponents. But if they are real fans they'll get over it and be there for USF.

Redzone has spoiled me. I don't even go to Jags games down here for free unless I'm in suite.

If you had a team in the 1980-90s you would've played those teams. A lot of the eastern indys played each other a lot. It is quite funny to try and walk around like your s*it don't stink, but if your program was an person, it would be able to start driving this year.

RE: College Football Attendance Dropping
I've been spoiled during my time here at LSU. There may not be a better venue in all of football than Tiger Stadium.

-Seafood and chicken gumbo for lunch? Check.
-8 kegs of Abita beer? Check.
-30 gallons of margaritas? Check.
-Grilled oysters for appetizers? Check.
-3 beer pong tables and 3 cornhole tables? Check.
-HD TV setup? Check.
-500 lbs shrimp boil for dinner? Check.
-Nighttime games vs Steve Spurrier and Nick Saban? Check.

Not exaggerated figures, our department throws a mean tailgate. I'd never watch a game on TV than in person at LSU or UCF.

Thats the plan. And while you don't give a shyt, it does seem a relevant post to a thread about decreased college football attendance, doesnt it?

It's certainly relevant to the thread topic. While the conference shifting in the last 18 months is very frustrating to UC/USF/UConn fans, that attitude says you don't have core dedication to your team. In previous years did you go to USF home games when you were playing a FCS team, or do you never attend to simply see the home team?

Unfortunately for USF it seems they have a lot of bandwagon fans such as yourself and not enough fans like Cubanbull. That will only hurt the chance for USF to improve it's lot moving forward.

Your attendance tanked under Krapthorpe

Fans actual boycott his last year to force an early firing, it worked. 07-coffee3

Memphis fans did the same thing for Tommy West's last 2 years and the Larry Porter era ( hugh hiring mistake under our previous A.D.). And yes, it also worked.

And if Fuente lays an egg this year do you boycott him too, or do you give him four full years based on noticeable improvement?

btiger has said it is bowl or bust this season for the newest version of Tiger Football HC. I can understand btiger's take because he's not one of "those people" who likes hang out at practice all the time . Closing practice doesn't faze him or hurt his feelings.

[name redacted], cool your jets. It's well documented your feeling towards the University because of Porter bring fired (mistake hire to start with, just wasn't ready) . And as far as what btiger thinks , I couldn't give 2 $hitz what his attention seeking @$$ thinks. I still went to all the home games under West and Porter (unbearable to watch), so don't put me in that class. As #4 back in the day, one of my favorite Tigers. As a current butthurt alum, weak sauce.

Actually playing USF doesn't exactly light my fire. I can recall, not too long ago a certain running back named DeAngelo Williams racking up 230 yards rushing against USF as part of a blow out beat down on USF at their place. Sorry dude, USF ain't exactly all that either, so get off your f-ing high horse.

LOL. Nah. Just trying give some of the usual suspects a bone to gnaw on back at the Bengal Board.

Hope you can make it to Murfreesboro on Sept. 14th. I think it's gonna be a real treat. The Tigers might even keep it close for the first half so juggoman won't leave early.

Best,

TG

LMFAO, if I didn't leave early for two years during that disaster of a coaching staff captained by Porter, I can assure you I won't leave now that we got a real "head coach" and a first rate staff of assistant coaches.

Go fish somewhere else. Or maybe just go to the store and buy some brass knuckles as presents for some of your Blue Raiders to use in their next bar brawl.

May go to the Miami or Louisville games, as they are power 5 teams
And why is that?

Because I'd prefer we shut the football program down than be in this conference

There's no chance of me getting up to go see us play SMU, ecu, etc. God awful league

03-lmfao That's rich, WTF has USF really ever done??? No conference Titles ever, no top 25 finishes ever, no top 10 finishes ever. 4-2 bowl record, heck ECU has won more bowls than USF has been to. No ten win seasons. ECU has all of that, SMU.......do you really want to see..................

It should be ECU, SMU, etc fans having trouble getting up to see their teams play USF.07-coffee3

I don't agree with original USF poster....but your 'smack' would be more meaningful and directly comparable if USF's program wasn't less than 20 years old. We have more Top 25 wins than all the CUSA schools entering the league...combined since we have been playing football. For a startup program USF has been wildly successful.

Yes but many of our younger fans never saw that and all they remember of Memphis is the St Pete Bowl blow out.
Many of our fans didn't come on board until after we went to Big East, they have no recollection of anything else. It's the bad part of being a young program with a very young fan base.
