We still have a HUGE interest in the Liberty Bowl, as it is likely to be about the highest-paying, most prestigious bowl we can get.

But if the SEC and Big 12 want it, they will get it.

Well, getting in more practices matters, as does bowl game exposure and money. Now that we are no longer AQ and likely will have many years where we don't have a team in one of those six bowls, our non-BCS bowl lineup is more important than ever.

Yes. The Liberty Bowl is a great bowl. Even though it's un-godly cold in Memphis around New Year's. I still don't think I've thawed out from that Arkansas game.

This. The AAC definitely still has interest in the Liberty Bowl. It is NOT a matter of how hard the conference goes after it. There is a chain of events that will have to take place. Top down, it basically boils down to the interests of the other P5 conferences in the Liberty and where the Liberty would fall in their order. That will determine if the AAC ends up being one of the pairings. From the bottom up, there isn't a single Gof5 conference that stands a chance at the Liberty other than the ACC.

So, we wait and find out if it is just down to one mid-P5 vs. AAC or if the Liberty has takers on a really low P5 vs. low P5 bowl.

There just isn't much to discuss in this conversation.

Why do you care about the AAC bowl line up? Answer: you don't. You are simply trolling a board of schools less fortunate than Pitt in the realignment game. It's very revealing of your character.

Second, you know damn well the AAC made no strategic decision to withdraw from the Pinstripe Bowl. Aresco was asked about it in his March 19 press conference and said we hope to keep the bowl because it is important to us and that the Yankees do an incredible job with the bowl. If we lose the bowl to the ACC, no matter how happy that makes your smarmy ass, it wasn't by choice.

Moderators, please ban this fool from this board. He has no business here.

I am a fan of the AAC conference as well. So I do have a vested interest in it as well. I like a number of the schools in the AAC - like Memphis for example.

RE: A lesson about trolls
Here is the basic rundown of troll levels found on this board:

Wilkie: Novice troll, still learning from miko, probably somewhat sociable in an ordinary environment

miko: unabashed alpha troll of the conference realignment board, has a newly found troll erection for the Memphis Tigers, baits the weak

Tallgrass: AAC hater extraordinaire, faux Tulsa fan, wordsmith troll

BOSSMAN: the yoda of the trolls

It's a great read. No one likes to see people trolling message boards for no good reason. I frankly do not tolerate trolls.

For the last time, no I don't. If you want the last word, then go for it. Because a typical tactic of someone who wants attention on the internet is to try to engage someone in an inane argument. This post, for example, is me giving you unnecessary attention. However, I'll point it out once and will no longer respond to your arguments about me. I'll not waste time on this silly argument.
