Interesting Bit of Rice History
Melissa Kean has posted a great video about a family that lived on the west side of the campus in the late 1940s ...

Wonderful

I don't believe that cost very much to produce, and it was VERY well done.

Rice has been producing that quality of video for at least the past two years. They probably create one about once a week on various topics.

It looked like they were close to the Harris Gulley by the old football stadium.

RE: Interesting Bit of Rice History
This brings back memories. My father ('39) lived with his aunt on Mandell, near campus while attending Rice. He and a friend used to occasionally take a shotgun and hunt rabbits while walking home from classes in the afternoons. He described the area they walked through as wooded and somewhat swampy. It was of course already all built up when I first remember staying there in the late 50's. Went to my first Owl game in 1960.
