IMHO the guy has incredible knowledge but ruins the show with 20-25 mins of commericials/promos every hour to plug his stupid energy drinks, 24/7, 17th Ave Camera, etc...I thought sat radio was suppossed to have less commercials.

His 24/7 connection ruins it especially as it limits the amount of guests to basically schools that have active 24/7 forums. It would be much better if he was independant.

During my morning commute: I listen only in small doses...I quickly switch to music when he starts shilling either products or too much on SEC/B1G teams.

That said I love Sirius for catching live action.

He has practically become unlistenable. The other shows on Channel 91 don't shill garbage nearly as much as he does. I never hear ads for **** Of The Walk on the other shows. The recruiting info is still good though. His callers aren't quite Finebaum bad at least.

Ahh yeah I forgot about "C ock of the Walk Restaurant"...he even had the ex-Miss St BB coach (Stansbury??) on to interview and they both shilled it...it come off very contrived. He needs to spend more time on College Hoops too. Very little BB talk in Jan and Feb with Bill King.

I stopped listening to Finebaum as I'm not interested in the retard Bama and War Eagle fans slamming each other.

Good info. I had noticed he was not on SIRIUS, but didn't know the details. And I agree 100% on his listeners. Ugh!

I can't stand the college football sdtation on Sirius. It's just plain old bad radio. I have no idea what the appeal of either Bill King or Paul Finebaum is to people? They are HORRIBLE shows.

I don't have satellite but local radio has David Glenn on from 12:00 - 3:00 pm. He founded the ACC Sports Journal and accsports.com (pay site) which have good info. Commercials on the radio show are bad enough but he spends 2/3 of his available time talking about what he is going to talk about (teasers), crowing about something he got right or bragging that somebody in the news was on his show (4 years ago!). Not a very good live interviewer either.

I'm glad to hear someone else with that opinion. I try to listen a couple of days a week and always wind up turning the channel. For long periods they just jabber about inside info that has no bearing on anything related to college football.

I also dislike his intro where he claims to be able to "make a wolverine purr". Once a show is ok, but they play it everytime they re-enter from commercial break.

I agree. Finebaum is actually a good radio personality, with exception to the blatant SEC homerism. He's a really good interviewer, but his audience ruined that show for me.

His show has this weird dynamic where he'll conduct a serious and informative interview with a Mike Slive type and then he'll follow that up with a call from Charles in Reeltown that ends up sounding like a conversation between mental patients. Strange stuff.

Seems like the majority of his callers were uneducated, out of work, white trash types who literally had nothing else in their lives outside of their selected SEC school.

It was pretty much every bad stereotype about the south.
