RE: Season Tickets
It's gotten harder and harder to justify the time and expense to go to games the past couple years when fewer and fewer friends go. Last year I couldn't even find friends to give away my extra ticket to most games. I'm not renewing this year and honestly don't know how many games I'll head down for.

RE: Season Tickets
I maintain, as i did last year, that the bigger decline in non-renewals or attendance drop is due to the boring team we've had the last few years. It has simply not been an exciting team to watch especially coming on the heels of watching landers which was a thrill a minute.

Ps - I am in favor of a move to fbs.

RE: Season Tickets
I do recognize that there are people who are not renewing, but there will always be people not renewing from every team in the country. The key information is whether there are more people replacing those who do not renew or is there an actual decline in season ticket sales.

I fully expected there to be a couple years of small decrease after so many jumped on the new stadium bandwagon two years ago. The newness has worn off. People are finding that a four to six hour drive is very difficult. I fall in this category living in Charlotte.

Personally I will continue to make my purchase as long as I can afford to. Whether I can attend or not and whether I can find people who want to use them makes little difference. I get four and its a great entertainment deal for people who live within two hours.

Every JMU grad can find someone to use them, even if you live in San Diego. Call up a local Harrisonburg business and offer to give them your unused tickets for employees or customers. Call a church or call some charity if you are too far away to go to all the games. I especially would suggest offering a Boy Scout troop a couple of tickets for them to use to reward a scout This is supporting JMU at a very small price.

Donation of $1,500 and purchase of four collar tickets complete. Hopefully, I will retain my parking space in Hanson. Looking forward to the season, I believe the Dukes will win the national title this year and I am excited.

Not renewing my 2 season tickets this year. Has nothing really to do with FCS/FBS. At my age, 5 hours on the road 5 and 6 times during the fall is getting taxing. Will still donate to the Duke Club and get single game tickets to certain games.

RE: Season Tickets
I decided not to renew this year for several reasons (I weighed out my options and not renewing slimmly won out)...not just one reason (cost vs. games attended, really really annoying people who sit behind us who I can not tolerate for another year, some admin decisions), but I will still go down for at least three games plus I'm going to Akron. Either couldn't make it for the bigger games this year or am not all that interested, so I figure it will be easy to get good tix to some of our not so big games (looking forward to seeing the new CAA teams).

I am still upping my donation (I give an extra 10% every year) this year, while I disagree with some admin football decisions, I still want to make sure I support the players and all JMU athletics.

RE: Season Tickets
Contractually obligated to purchase Club Seats for two more years. Paid my 2013 commitment, and kept Duke Club donation the same. Will not renew my contract if JMU does not jump to FBS.

One friend is frustrated that the offense can't seem to get anything done and says football is entertainment and he's not entertained. Then the other two are influenced by him and if he doesn't show and tailgate, then their enthusiasm likely takes a hit.
They're more casual than me, so they may buy one or two single game tickets. We will see.

I have several friends who are in this camp

How did you get 5 tickets with only 500 donation? I thought min for over 4 was 1500?
